Tiny Pop-Up Concert
Chris Pitts Jazz Quartet at 7-7:30pm

Tuesday July 22, Allen House

I’m excited to invite you to a Tiny Pop-Up Concert with my jazz quartet on Tuesday, July 22nd at the Allen House Performing Arts Center in West Newton. We’re keeping it short and sweet—just 7:00 to 7:30 PM—but packing in plenty of energy and music.

If you sneeze, you might miss it!

I’ll be joined by three amazing musicians as we dig into some of original tunes plus timeless works by Duke Ellington, Sonny Rollins, and Wayne Shorter—all in 30 minutes flat.

Meet the band:

🎹 Alexei Tsiganov – phenomenal jazz pianist and vibraphonist who blends Russian roots, Latin grooves, and modern jazz. He’s rocked stages like the Regattabar and Jazz Standard.

🎸 Greg Toro – versatile Boston bassist whose genre-bending style and inventive compositions keep audiences on their toes. Check out his new 2024 EP Reeds!

🥁 Rafael Barata – Grammy-winning Brazilian drummer whose rhythms have lit up shows with Herbie Hancock, Eliane Elias, Esperanza Spalding, and so many more.

I’ve had the privilege of sharing stages from Detroit to Paris, and it’s a joy to keep the music going here in Newton. Come hang out, enjoy some live jazz, and share a half-hour of music with us!
